Our Big Question

Our topic for the term is Frozen Planet, where we will be focussing on what life is like in the Antarctic and how living things survive in the freezing climate. To kick start our topic, Anwen has asked the big question "can we survive on a Frozen Planet?" 

As part of our STEM learning this term, we are excited to explore properties of materials to design an effective insulated cup and conduct an investigation to discover how Polar bears keep warm in the Arctic. Two words- blubber glove! 

Our children enjoy daily independent learning time in our Discovery Room, where they have opportunities to explore STEM activities and cook/prepare food independently. They also have daily access to our Outdoor Learning environment, where they are can build in our woodwork shed, play outdoor learning games, build dens and much more! 

We are also very lucky to have Senora Gatti in to teach us Italian again this year! The children absolutely love learning all about Italian language and culture and are excited to build on their knowledge and skills this term.

We also enjoy weekly music sessions, provided by "On the Beat." Coach Bec helps to bring our termly topics to life through the expressive arts!
