Welcome

Mr J. Lloyd Headteacher

Welcome to Hengoed Primary School.

We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school direct with any queries you may have.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Selecting the right school for your child is a vitally important decision. Schools are not all the same. This prospectus aims to inform you about our school, what we have to offer and how we work. It will provide you with an insight but the best way to find out about us is to visit. I would be delighted to meet with you at a mutually convenient time and to show you around so that you can see for yourself the high quality provision and excellent standards of behaviour.

Children are the centre of all that we do at Hengoed Primary School. We are here for them. Staff work exceptionally hard to ensure high academic results and extensive personal and social development. We endeavour to meet the needs of all learners. Pupils' wellbeing is our priority. We work in partnership with parents, governors, the community and Caerphilly County Borough Council to develop a rich environment in which everyone can develop.

I truly believe that our school offers the very best of opportunities for children between the ages of three and eleven. It's a privilege to lead this school. I love my job and I love coming to school every day. I know that our pupils love coming to school too. I very much hope that I will have the opportunity of working with you to ensure that your child's education gets off to the best of starts,

Yours faithfully,

Mr Jonathan Lloyd
