Safeguarding

At Hengoed Primary School we follow national and local guidance to keep our pupil's safe. Safeguarding is our highest priority in all aspects of our school.

Please take a look at our Safeguarding Policy. The aim of our policy is to ensure that we have effective measures in place to safeguard everyone at our school.

Our designated safeguarding officers (DSO) are Mr J. lloyd and Mrs J.Watkins

Our policy allows everyone to be aware of their responsibilities and understand the procedures in place. It also gives you additional information regarding safeguarding and fully supports the school's commitment to child protection.

Where at all possible the school will share any concerns it may have have with parents, unless to do so may put the child at risk of further harm.

This action is in line with the best guidance and is noted in the All Wales Safeguarding Procedures 2020.
