School Development Plan

Major Priorities 2025/26

To Maintain high standards whilst ensuring that the Progression Code and Progression Steps underpin all planning, teaching, learning and assessments.  This will be through the following Priorities

 

Teaching and Learning

To ensure teaching is consistently good throughout the school and ensure that the learning experiences strengthen and promote independent learning, specifically through the following

  1. To improve reading and spelling across the school through the implementation of the FFT ‘Success for All’ programme and the RAD assessment tool, while extending higher-order reading skills (inference, evaluation, analysis) in Progression Steps 2 and 3.
  2. Continue to expand the range of authentic STEM experiences offered to the whole schoo
  3. To embed the new Maths Scheme and continue to improve the use of CPA Approach, and Problem-Solving Across All Year Groups.

 

Care, Support and Wellbeing  

4. To continue to improve attendance and well-being in mental health.

 

Leading and Improving

 5. To continue to improve the strategic leadership of the school .

To develop the temporary restructure of the school leadership team. To continue to develop the strategic role of the Governing Body
