HENGOED PRIMARY SCHOOL
Re-opening Plan – 29th June 2020
Dear Parent/Guardians,
Before I share the details of our school reopening I would firstly like to thank you for all you have done with your children over the past weeks. The staff have been amazed by the work completed and the activities you have been up to since school closed. Secondly, I would like to thank you for your patience when waiting for this plan.
Welsh Government want all school to offer an opportunity to ‘check in, catch up and prepare’. So, for the remainder of the Summer Term pupils will be attending at least 3 sessions, on a set day in the same group. Pupils will stay in their assigned class with the same member of staff. Those will be referred to as a bubble. The pupils will stay in these bubbles to minimise contact with others. There will be no more than 8 pupils on a class at any time and the classes will be divided into groups. Staff will be in touch to share which days your child/children will be attending if you have agreed for them to return.
Due to the size of the bubbles and the organisation it has taken the groups will not change. As stated in the letter from the LA there is no expectation for Nursery or Rising 3s to attend school during this period, however we will be offering this in our school.
How will it look?
